This was exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly with my installation so far. Hope to receive updates and adaptions to future WooCommerce and WP versions. Would also pay for it.

A great plugin, just what I was looking for, thank you! To get document icons to display together with the download link generated by your plugin, I am using the MimeTypes Link Icons plugin.
