Deactivate plugin if you have the previous version installed. 2. Extract «plugins-garbage-collector.x.x.x.zip» archive content to the «/wp-content/ plugins/plugins-garbage-collector» directory. 3. Activate «Plugins Garbage Collector» plugin via «Plugins» menu in WordPress admin menu. 4. I was bit afraid but it safely removed the unused data. Does what it says. Detects unused tables from deleted plugins and allows to delete them. If some tables with same prefix are not selectable you can use other database management software like phpmyadmin to delete them.
