Skildring
AfriRegions replaces the basic city field at checkout with linked address selectors adapted for African cities. Your customers choose their region, then city, then neighborhood – no typing, no spelling mistakes, no wrong addresses.
- Region City Neighborhood – linked dropdowns that update as the customer picks each level
- Shipping rates by area – set one rate for the whole country, a different rate for a region, an even more precise rate for a specific city or neighborhood. The closest match always wins
- Shipping estimate in the cart – customers check delivery costs before reaching checkout
- Add your own places – add cities or neighborhoods not in the default list, directly from the admin
- 24 African countries with region and city data included – ready to use out of the box
- Dashboard – see at a glance how many countries, regions, and cities are active
- Available in English and French

How do I add a city or neighborhood that is not in the list?
-
Go to WooCommerce AfriRegions Zones. Expand a region to see its cities, then click «Add a city». Inside a city, click «Add» to add a neighborhood.
-
Can I add many places at once?
-
Places are added one at a time from the Zones tab. Most stores only need a handful of extra cities or neighborhoods, since 24 countries ship with their regions and cities already included.
-
How do I set different shipping prices per area?
-
Go to WooCommerce Shipping select or create a shipping zone add «AfriRegions – Region / City / Neighborhood Rates» as a method. Set a default price, then add specific rules for regions, cities, or neighborhoods. The most specific match always takes priority – a neighborhood rate overrides the city rate, which overrides the region rate.
-
How does the shipping estimator in the cart work?
-
The cart estimator shows the neighborhood field once a city with neighborhoods is selected. As the customer picks their neighborhood, the shipping cost estimate updates on the spot.
-
Does it work with the new WooCommerce order storage format?
-
Yes. The plugin works with both the classic and the new high-performance order storage.
-
Does it work with mobile apps?
-
The address data endpoint (REST API) for mobile apps is available in AfriRegions Pro. It exposes the full country, region, city and neighborhood dataset for offline-first apps, with built-in protection against excessive requests.
