Flex Clone is the clone tool in the FLEX plugin family from FLEX LLC (https://flexible.am/). Each FLEX plugin does one job and works on its own. Clone fills the gap the others do not cover: copy existing content so you can edit the copy instead of starting over.

It is not only a post duplicator. It also copies terms, navigation menus, and media files, then keeps related taxonomies, custom fields (including Flex Fields), children, and attachments.

• Posts, pages, and custom post types (including types from Flex Content Types, and WooCommerce products and variations)
• Categories, tags, and other terms, with term meta and child terms
• Navigation menus with item hierarchy (the copy is not assigned to a theme location)
• Media items as a new file in the uploads directory
• Related taxonomies, custom fields, featured image, child pages, and optional comments
• Row action, bulk action (up to 15), editor sidebar, admin bar, and a Clone screen
• Local history of the last 100 clones

Admin CSS and JavaScript ship with the plugin. No remote stylesheets, no telemetry, no calls home.

Privacy

Flex Clone does not send data to FLEX or any third-party service. Clone history (who cloned what, and when) is stored in the WordPress options table on your site. Comment clones omit IP address and user agent. Media duplicates stay in your uploads directory.

Limitations

• This is not a site migrator, importer, or backup plugin.
• Users, orders, widgets, and site options are not cloned.
• Relationship fields that point at other posts keep the original IDs unless those IDs were remapped as copied media.
• Menu copies are not assigned to a theme location, so the live menu does not change.
• Duplicate media files is off by default; featured images are reused.
